"The accident occurred at around 11 AM on the outskirts of Naskal village when the lorry driver lost control while overtaking. The lorry turned turtle, resulting in on the spot death of three persons, while four others died either on way to hospital or during treatment," Ranga Reddy District Superintendent of Police Rema Rajeswari R said.
At least 15 others, who suffered injuries in the mishap, were rushed to different hospitals, she told PTI over phone.
"Over-speeding seems to be the reason for the accident," she said based on preliminary investigation.
A case was booked with Pargi police, who were further investigating the matter.
