7 Panchayat poll candidates booked for violation of model code

Seven panchayat election candidates have been booked for violating the Model Code of Conduct in Rabupura area here, police said.
Five are candidates in district panchayat elections and two for the post of village pradhan. Their posters were found on public land and they were campaigning using loudspeakers without permission, they said.
"District panchayat ward number 5 candidates Rekha Choudhary, Sunil Bhati and Radhey Bhati and from ward number 6 Bhagwan Das Balmiki and Jai Singh Mistri were booked for violation of the Model Code of Conduct," Rabupura Kotwali In- charge Vinod Pandey said.
"Beside these, Mirzapur village Pradhan election candidate Kapil Bhati and village Niloni Pradhan candidate Bharat Pal have been booked," Pandey said.
