72 cases against IAS, RAS officers since 2014 in Raj: Kataria

A total of 72 cases were registered against IAS and Rajasthan Administrative Service officers by the Anti-Corruption Bureau during 2014 to 2017, state Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria informed the House today.
Answering supplementary questions during Question Hour, Kataria said 18 cases were registered against 10 IAS officers and 54 against 50 RAS officers in the state during the period.
He informed the House that allegations in ACB cases are serious in nature and chargesheets have been filed in 10 cases and final report in six.
He said the ACB was making efforts to complete its probe at a faster pace.
On a question on police verification of autorickshaw drivers roped in for ferrying schoolchildren, the home minister said that it will be completed within a month.
He assured that efforts will be made to regulate the fees charged by autorickshaws.
Kataria tabled the details of autorickshaw drivers operating in Kota district in reply to a question of MLA Vidhya Shankar Nandwana. He said that 215 autorickshaws were operating in Kota and police verification of 137 was done.
On a question related to the killing of Virmaram in Barmer district, Kataria during Zero Hour said the case was being investigated by CID.
Resident of Santa village in Barmer, Virmaram was killed and an FIR was registered on April 3, 2016. He said that two accused were arrested in the case and were in jail.
