Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner and returning officer for LADC polls J Hmingthanmawia said of the 81 nomination papers filed one nomination was rejected during scrutiny and 80 nominations were declared as valid.
Five independent candidates and candidate of the Zoram Nationalist party (ZNP) withdrew their nominations on the last date today, he said.
Ruling Congress and opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) is contesting all seats, while BJP has fielded candidates in 11 seats.
The ZNP, which fielded two candidates now have only one nominee in the fray and the Mizoram People's Conference (MPC) contested two seats.
