80,000 drugs seized in Jammu, 4 held

Police today recovered 80,000 intoxicated drugs including capsules and tablets and arrested four drug peddlers from Jammu city.
Acting on a tip off in connection with drug rackets going on in Jammu city, police recovered 80,000 intoxicant capsules and tablets from the four drug peddlers in different parts of the city today, SSP Jammu Uttam Chand told reporters here tonight.
He said four persons Vishal Gupta, Karun Gupta, Anil Gupta and Subash Chander have been arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Act.
The team has been following the drug racket in Jammu city for quite some time. Investigation has been taken up and some more recoveries/arrests are expected, he said.

Jammu Police has been making hard efforts to counter the menace of drugs in the city under the guidance of Danish Rana, IGP, Jammu Zone.
