80 tribals "converted" to Christianity in Odisha

At least 80 tribals were allegedly converted to Christianity in Balisuda village in Sundargarh district of Odisha, officials said today.
"We have information about the alleged conversion (on December 25). I have sent there a team that consists of Sub-Collector of Bonai, Surendra Kumar Mina. They are investigating the case and verifying the facts...," District Collector Bhupinder Singh Poonia said.
Inspector-In-Charge (IIC) M Pradhan of K Balang Police Station, who is leading the probe into this case, said "The villagers of Balisuda, led by Panduramn Munda, ward member of Darjing gram panchayat, have submitted a written complaint in this regard. It has been accepted as a station diary and we are investigating it.
