Sources told PTI that nine items had been constituted as terms of references for the 2-member inquiry committee comprising A K Gupta, Additional Member (Works) in the Railway Board, and Additional Secretary D Diptivilasa, set up by the Urban Development ministry.
The first aspect which the committee would look into would be the design of civil structure, including bearings, design and approval process during construction.
Quality of construction of civil works in general and bearings in particular and whether the construction methodology adhere to design would be the second aspect of the objective of the panel.
The line operator Delhi Airport Metro Express Private Limited (DAMEPL) earlier alleged that the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation did not stick to the design while constructing the airport line. (more)
