The incident took place yesterday. The accused, Kuldeep, took the boy to a seculded place in the village and sodomised him, they said.
Family members of the victim filed a complaint with the police based on which an FIR was registered against the Kuldeep under relevant sections of the IPC and the POCSO Act.
Circle Officer Bharat Yadav said efforts were being made to nab the accused, who is on the run.
