97.99 pc pass percentage in SSLC examination

: The result of the Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate exam declared today for 2014-15 registered a 97.99 per cent pass percentage, which is 2.52 per cent more than the previous year.
Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb said a total of 4,58,841 students became eligible for higher studies, out of 4,68,466 students who appeared for the examination.
As many as 12,287 students received 'A' plus in all subjects, he said.
Kannur district stood first with 97.99 per cent pass percentage while Palakkad district was last, it was stated.
The minister said 461 of the 464 students who appeared for the examination in Gulf centres passed.
