Aam Aadmi Party, which is not contesting the assembly elections, in Uttar Pradesh said in its support letter that Aishwarya Raj does not have any criminal record and is most educated among all the candidates in the electoral fray.
The letter was issued by Anand Rajpal, who was candidate for Member of Parliament for the party from Basti seat.
Aishwarya, who is contesting the seat, belongs to the royal family of Basti and his father was a local MLA while mother a senior Railway officer.
The seat is going for polls on February 27, for which 14 candidates are in the fray.
