An AAP MLA and an additional deputy commissioner were today involved in a verbal spat in Faridkot district, with the legislator accusing the officer of misbehaviour, but the ADC denied the charge.
A video of the spat purportedly between Kultar Singh Sadhwan, the MLA from Kotkapura seat, and Faridkot additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Keshav Hingonia, an IAS officer, went viral on social media.
The officer could be seen asking Sadhwan to leave the office after asking him not to raise his voice in the video.
The MLA had gone to Hingonia's office to submit a memorandum but the spat started when Sadhwan raised the issue of alleged discrepancies in the payment of MNREGA wages.
I came here to tell you this (MNREGA issue). I have come here not with any demand. The government does not raise any demand from its officers. You are my officer, the MLA said.
Then the officer said, you are not the government, drawing a sharp reply from Sadhwan, I'm the government. Who says I am not the government.
Who says your are the government. You are an MLA. Thats it, the officer said.

The officer asked him not to raise his voice in the office. Do not raise your voice.go and raise it outside Behave properly or go outside, Hingonia said.
