An AAP MLA sustained injuries
after allegedly being beaten up by a group of unidentified men at southeast Delhi's Jamia Nagar area, police said today.
The incident was reported around 6.30 PM yesterday when Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan was heading back home with a few neighbours and party workers after attending a function, said police.
In his complaint, the MLA told the police that when he reached near the Holy Family Hospital, an unknown person saluted him and approached closer to interact.
Suddenly around four other men allegedly attacked him from the behind with sticks.
The accused persons fled the spot before the legislator's aides could overpower them, police said.
An FIR has been registered and further action will follow, police added.
