Aam Aadmi Party today raked up the issue of the CNG fitness scam of 2002 and attacked the "continuing silence" of the central government and Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on the alleged indictment of top bureaucrats in the city government by CBI.
Addressing a news conference, senior leader Ashutosh said CBI in its report has stated that the case was originally investigated by the Delhi Anti-corruption branch, which has names of several senior bureaucrats of Delhi administration.
"It is shocking that indicted bureaucrats are continuing in the top administrative positions and the BJP's central government, which is indirectly controlling Delhi, appears to be turning a blind eye towards the multi-crore scams committed during the Sheila Dixit government's tenure.
"The AAP challenges the union Home Ministry and Delhi administration break their silence," the party said in a statement.
