Delhi Chief Electoral Officer's (CEO)office asked Gupta to explain his stand by 6 pm on February 2 failing which the poll panel will take action.
The CEO office has issued the notice on a complaint filed by Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay who accused AAP of using Bedi's photograph without her permission in its election campaign and calling her "Awsarvadi" (opportunist).
Meanwhile, a total number of 1,763 hoardings were removed from public property and 138 FIR's have been lodged till yesterday in this regard.
Till yesterday, a total of 22,069 persons have been booked under various sections of CRPC/DP Act and as preventive action, 598 licensed arms were deposited, 28 unlicensed arms and 1,107 cartridges seized.
