Aarti Industries Q1 net up 84% at Rs 41.43 crore

Company had posted a net profit of Rs 22.53 crore in the same quarter last year

Chemicals and pharma manufacturer Aarti Industries today reported 83.89% rise in its net profit at Rs 41.43 crore on a standalone basis for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 22.53 crore in the same quarter last year, Aarti Industries said in a statement issued here.

Total income of the company surged 24.67% to Rs 739.8 crore during the first quarter on standalone basis, as against Rs 593.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

"Our Speciality Chemicals and Home & Personal Care segments have grown significantly, fuelling a growth in the topline. Strong surge in offshore demands for chemicals coupled with a rise in domestic demand has led our numbers to propel," Aarti Industries Chairman and Managing Director Rajendra Gogri said.
