Abducted man rescued in Haryana

A 26-year old man, who was abducted from Karnal on May 9, was rescued today by Haryana police from Karnal with the arrest of his alleged abductor.
Ketan Sardana, who was abducted from Karnal on May 9, was rescued from Karnal by Haryana police, an official spokesman said in a release here.
Accused identified as Pankaj Gambhir has also been nabbed along with ransom amount of Rs 6 crore, he said.
Haryana Director General of Police Shriniwas Vashisht said the complaint was registered by Mahesh Sardana, a resident of Model Town, Karnal that his son was kidnapped and kidnapper had demanded ransom of Rs 6 crore for releasing his son.

Taking a serious note of the matter, Karnal police constituted a team of 100 police officials. He said, adding the police team arrested Gambhir who is a resident of Panipat.
