Uttar Pradesh Police today sealed the site where Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha was planning to install the bust of Nathuram Godse, Mahatma Gandhi's assassin, on the outfit's office premises.
Superintendent of Police Om Prakash said that the site has been sealed and anyone who breaks it will be punished under the law.
Activists of the Hindutva outfit had performed 'bhumi pujan' at the site in their local office here in Meerut.
Later, district administration had swung into action and ordered a probe into the entire matter.
