ADGP Iqbalpreet Singh Sahota deposed before the Commission, which directed police to submit action taken report of the incident till December 21 as well as set up an SIT to expedite the investigation.
The Commission also asked the Punjab government to transfer the case to a fast-track court for delivering speedy justice to aggrieved family.
Rajesh Bagha, Chairman SC Commission said that the Abohar incident is the crime against humanity and such "ghastly crime" could not be ignored in a civilised society.
The Commission also sought the report the progress to commission on daily basis.
He said that Sahota has informed the commission that an FIR under various sections of IPC has been register against 11 persons and four persons have already been arrested whereas teams have been constituted to nab the other absconding accused.
Bagha said that one of the victims whose limbs have been chopped off is still critical but unconscious and he is unable to give statement to police.
