Pakistan were knocked out of Asia Cup after defeat against hosts Bangladesh last night in Mirpur and Imran took to his twitter to express his opinion on the team's unceremonious exit.
"Pakistani cricket fans' anger at the unceremonious exit of Pakistan team from T20 Asia Cup is understandable as our nation is oozing with talent," Imran wrote on his twitter handle.
The former fast bowler said the team cannot improve till the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) become an institution, which is built on merit.
"How can we expect this PM to select PCB chief on merit when all organisations are being headed by cronies/people rewarded for services to Sharifs," he tweeted.
Pakistan have lost seven of their last 10 Twenty20 Internationals.
