ABVP accuses NSUI candidates of taking admission fraudulently

Two days ahead of Delhi University Students' Union polls, ABVP today accused the NSUI candidates contesting for the post of president and vice-president of getting admission to varsity through 'fraudulant means', a charge strongly denied by them.
ABVP's national secretary Rohit Chahal alleged that NSUI's vice-presidential candidate AAA Mona Chaudhary took admission to Campus Law Centre on forged degree of a university of Himachal Pradesh despite the fact that she was an ex-student of Kirori Mal College.
"The NSUI candidate even failed in one of the subjects and therefore appeared in examination held in May/June 2014 as ex-student, but she concealed all her details from the university," he said.

Chahal also alleged that NSUI's presidential candidate Gaurav Tushir also took admission in Motilal Nehru College by concealing information with regard to his previous admissions.
"Tushir, who is currently student of Moti Lal Nehru College, took admission in Hansraj College in 2011 and failed in first year. He then again took admission in Satyawati College in 2012 and again in Moti Lal Nehru College this year without giving any information about his previous three years' admissions," the ABVP general secretary alleged.
NSUI, however, refuted all the charges levelled by rival ABVP, saying that the latter was trying to defame their image.

"The ABVP's allegations are totally baseless. DU authorities have not sent any show cause notice to any of our candidate on such allegations. And, second thing is that before displaying list of all candidates, university scrutinise their records. Fearing loss of DUSU elections, ABVP has come out with cheap allegations," said Amrita Dhawan, NSUI national vice-president.
DUSU Elections will be held on September 12.
