ACB arrests assistant engineer for accepting Rs 50,000 bribe

An Assistant engineer of Jodhpur DISCOM was today arrested by a team of Anti-Corruption Bureau here for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 50,000.
The accused Vijay Singh had demanded the bribe from a farmer Rajiv Kumar for not disconnecting his illegal power connection.
After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid near the farm in Poogal tehsil where Singh along with his driver Hanif came to receive the bribe amount, Additional SP (ACB) Rajnish Poonia said.
Both were held while accepting the bribe amount, the ACB said.
