The First Additional District and Sessions Court JudgeC M Joshi issued an order yesterday to send Jawaharlal Bhog(25) to his native village Kodekurse of North Bastar Kanker district in Chhattisgarh with his younger brother Nohar Bhog who had been brought here to take him back.
The Court had decided to acquit Bhog from the murdercase on April 13 after medical reports from National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, where he was sent for examination, suggested that the accused was suffering from psychiatric disorder.
District Legal Services Authority member secretary and senior civil judge Mallanagouda Patil said the Authority wrote a letter on April 20 to its counterpart in Kanker district inChhattisgarh, seeking their help to trace Bhog's family.
After finding out the location, constables Vijay Kanchan andAkhil Ahammed of Moodbidri police station were sent to Chhattisgarh and brought Jawaharlal's brother Nohar Bhog to Mangaluru.
Jawaharlal Bhog had come to Moodbidri near here to work for a borewell agency in April 2014.
He lost his way when his co-workers left him one day.
Hewas arrested the next day and a case was registered under Section 302 of IPC (murder) at Moodbidri police station.
During the trial, the Court found his behaviour suspicious andsent him for medical examination, leading to his acquittal.
It was an emotional reunion when Bhog and his brother Nohar met each other at the Seon ashram yesterday, the police constables who brought Nohar here said.
They will be leavingfor their native village from Bengaluru on May 16.
