Several river activists today tied friendship bands and 'rakhies' to a pole on the Yamuna's bank to show their deep concern and love for the river.
Members of the River Connect Campaign gathered at the Etmauddaula view point park this evening after perfroming 'aarti'.
"We pledge to step up our efforts to conserve the Yamuna, which is the life-line of the Braj Mandal, and so crucial for the safety of the historical monuments including the Taj Mahal," an environmentalist, Dr Devashish Bhattacharya said.
