Singer Adele reached out to Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis last year to ask if she could play at this year's music extravaganza.
The 27-year-old "Hello" hitmaker reached out to Eavis, who founded the event in 1970, last year to ask if she could headline the music extravaganza, held on his farm near Pilton in Somerset, South West England, at the end of June, reported Metro.
"I met Adele last year and she asked if she could do it," Eavis said.
The singer will take to the Pyramid stage at the popular event on June 25, and Eavis is convinced she'll put on a "hell of a show" for festival goers.
Eavis was initially shocked when Adele approached him to play the event as she previously claimed she'd never front a festival due to her fear of large crowds.
"I think I have made myself pretty clear on Glastonbury Festival. The crowds are too big."
Adele, who returned to music scene late last year with her LP "25" following a four-year hiatus, will join other headlines Muse, who will play on June 24, and Coldplay, who have been tasked with closing the event on June 26.
This year's festival will also see performances from the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Simon Garfunkel, The Last Shadow Puppets, Jake Bugg, Beck, Guy Garvey and Ellie Goulding.
