Administration asks Assam Cricket Association to cancel AGM

Cachar district administration has asked the Assam Cricket Association not to hold its AGM scheduled tomorrow citing violation of model code of conduct.
According to an official letter, Cachar DC GM Hazarika has asked concerned officials not to hold the AGM as per directive of the Chief Election Officer of Assam.
"Some persons have filed complaint before the CEO, Assam, and the General Election Observer, Camp, Circuit House, Cachar, that the conduct of the AGM of the ACA would violate the model code of conduct enforced by the ECI," the order said.
