Several people including policemen have been injured in the clash but the exact figure was not known till the last report came in.
A petty issue between two families of different communities led to the clash this evening in Teekri Brahman village, Inspector Narender Chauhan of Crime Branch Faridabad said.
The situation deteriorated and the warring groups pelted stones on the police party too who had come to take control of the situation, he said.
Atali village of Faridabad witnessed large scale communal violence in May, as scores of families of the minority community were forced to flee the village and take shelter in police station. Several houses of the minority community and a mosque, which was at the centre of the row, were set ablaze.
The village is still tense and heavy police force deployed to maintain law and order.
