After BJP veterans' revolt, Cong says hope their advice will

As knives were out in the BJP with veterans raising a banner of revolt aginst the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah, Congress tonight sought to fish in troubled waters, saying it hoped the "sane advice" of the Margdarshak Mandal will be heard.
"We hope that sane advice of 'Margdarshak Mandal' will be heard to reform the 'Chaal, Chehra and Charitra' (ways, face and character) by PM Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah and the coterie," party's chief spokesman Randeep Surjewala said in a statement.
"Suffocation of BJP's Margdarshak Mandal reaffirms what the entire country knew all along. Nation is caught up in a personality cult where one individual has become bigger than 125 crore people," he said.

Noting that democracy has no place for the word "I" and the very meaning of democracy lies in "We", Surjewala said "On the contrary, PM Modi's brand style is one way communication."
"Modiji conducts his own 'Mann Ki Baat' but listens to no one. Net consequence is policy paralysis, decision paralysis and delegation paralysis in the country," he said in the statement.
Surjewala's reaction came soon after BJP veterans L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Yashwant Sinha and Shanta Kumar targeted Modi and Shah in the wake of Bihar debacle, saying the party has been "emasculated" in the last one year and was being "forced to kow-tow to a handful".

The BJP veterans issued a brief but strongly-worded statement that demanded athorough review of the debacle, in the first, direct and biggest internal challenge to Modi and his close confidant Shah.
