After protests, Azam calls for shifting of party offices

In a veiled attack on BJP opposition, SP leader Azam Khan today termed the protest at the state assembly as "shameful" and suggested that offices of political parties in the vicinity of it be shifted to prevent any such further incident.
"The protest of a party outside Vidhan Sabha (assembly) yesterday in which stones were hurled at the building breaking window panes is a shameful act. Such protests to fulfill political motives by beating policemen, damaging vehicles and property shows that the party want to create instability in the state and make communal atmosphere here", Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohd Azam Khan claimed.

He said this as soon as the Vidhan Sabha met at 11 am, and added, the offices of political parties just 10 metres away from the assembly should be shifted.
"We have to see that Vidhan Sabha remains secure. Weapons were collected at your office, bombs and stones were hurled by you. Not only Vidhan Sabha but media was attacked and vehicles were damaged", Khan said.
Activists of BJP youth wing, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, yesterday clashed with police during their protest against poor law and order situation in the state in front of Assembly while it was in session, forcing the cops to lathicharge and use tear gas shells.

Joining Azam, the SP members stood on their feet and displayed clippings of newspapers depicting yesterday's demonstration in which BJP workers were allegedly shown hurling stones and damaging vehicles.

Khan said that diesel, petrol, sugar, and onion prices were rising and instead of doing something in this regard they are trying to divert attention of people by such protests.
Cabinet Minister Ambika Chowdhury alleged that the party was vitiating law and order and acid and bombs were collected at their office.
BJP legislative party member Satish Mahana attacking the government, said that law and order of the state had become bad to worse and girls were hanged from tree due to police inaction.

"The entire government is creating ruckus in the House to supress our voice. We will not let it happen. I should also be given chance to air my voice", Mahana said.
After repeated attempts of Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey failed to bring House in order, and adjourned it for 10 minutes and later extended the adjournment for 20 more minutes.
