Agrawal appointed new Guwahati Police Commissioner
Agrawal, a 1989 batch IPS officer, succeeds Jyotirmoy Chakravarty, who was appointed the first Police Commissioner of Guwahati, an official release said.
Prior to his posting as the second Guwahati Police Commissioner, Agrawal was serving as the Director General of Police (Prosecution), Assam.
Chakravarty has been transferred and posted as ADGP(Prosecution).
The Guwahati Police Commissionerate was created on January one, 2015.
