"Haryana is one of the states that tops in agriculture production. Land is basic requirement for cultivation. I don't have complete information. But on reading newspapers, I get to know about the land scam. It is mostly happening in Haryana. I also heard seed scam in the state.
"Such a government is functioning in the state where land and seed scams are happening. How can there be good days in such a state?," Singh said after unveiling the statue of late Motibhai R Chaudhary, former chairman of Dudhsagar Dairy.
On worries of deficient monsoon, Singh said that there is no "need to panic" as the Met Department has forecast improved rains after July 6.
"The Met Department, which had earlier said that there could be less rains in some parts of the country, has also said monsoon is expected to improve after July 6. There is no need to panic," he said.
According to Met Department forecast, southwest monsoon is expected to be below normal at 93 per cent of the long period average. In June, monsoon deficit was 43 per cent. But rains are expected to improve in July and August.
He said that milk demand is expected to be 166 million tonnes by 2021 as per the Planning Commission estimate, while the current production is about 132 million tonnes.
Dudhsagar Dairy, run by the Mehsana District Cooperative Milk Producers Union, has a milk processing capacity of 25 lakh tonnes at Manesar and Dharuhera in Haryana.
The cooperative sells milk and milk products under the brand 'Amul' and 'Sagar' in Delhi and NCR region.
