The 17th Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East (BFAME) championship will be played from June 4-11, 2013 at a hotel in the city.
The championship will be an international zone IV World Bridge Federation (WBF) selection trial for three categories (Open, Women and seniors) for the World Team Championship.
At least seven open and four women and senior teams would be vying for the coveted Zakaria Adamjee and the Vinodini Goenka trophies respectively.
Participants are expected from countries like Palestine, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, UAE along with players from the host country.
During the championships, there will also be a session of friendship pairs for all the local participants in order to give them the exposure of international tournaments before the commencement of the main event.
The tournament will be webcast live on the bridge portal site (www.Bridgebase.Com).
