AHRC observes International Women's Day

The Assam Human Rights Commission joined the rest of the world in observing the International Women's Day today felicitating women employees of the offices of the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority and Cooperative Societies.
AHRC Chairperson Justice Dr Aftab H Saikia felicitated the women employees of the offices of the GMDA and Zonal Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Kamrup here.
Justice Saikia, AHRC Member Tarun Phookan and Secretary S Thiek spoke about the objective and importance of observing Women's Day, an AHRC release said.
