The aircraft, an Airbus A-319, landed safely and all passengers were safe, official sources said.
Full emergency was declared about 11:15 AM for Air India flight AI-460 coming here from Vijaywada after the pilot informed Delhi Air Traffic Control about some issues on the plane's engine, they said.
The plane landed safely at about 11:20 AM, and passengers and crew all were reported to be safe, they added.
Confirming the incident, an Air India spokesperson said the emergency landing was sought for its Vijaywada-Delhi flight, which had 101 passengers onboard, after some technical glitch was reported in one of the Airbus A-319 aircraft.
