Suresh Mehar was arrested yesterday and was produced in a local court in Nagaur and was remanded in seven days police custody, ADG-ATS and SOG Alok Tripathi said.
"The accused was in contact with Anandpal and his gang for a decade. He escaped from Rajgarh jail of Madhya Pradesh in 2008," he said.
Tripathi said the accused was being interrogated.
The ATS has arrested several aides of Anandpal Singh, who escaped from police custody while being taken to Ajmer central jail from a court in Nagaur last year.
