Aurangabad corporator Syed Mateen Syed Rashid Thursday alleged that the municipal corporation mayor refused him entry to attend the general body meeting.
The move triggered a ruckus in the meeting hall, which led to suspension of 15 corporators of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) for the day.
Mateen was attacked by corporators on August 17 after he opposed the move to pay tribute to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Mateen claimed that he was invited by the AMC to attend the meeting, but was stopped by security guards at the entrance of the building at the behest of the mayor.
