Former Chief Minister and founder of AINRC N Rangasamy Tuesday hit out at the Congress government headed by V Narayanasamy on the issue of statehood for Puducherry.
"It is amusing that Narayanasamy now feigns to be champion of statehood for Puducherry although he could have procured the status when he was Central Minister in the previous UPA government," Rangasamy said while campaigning for AINRC Lok Sabha nominee K Narayanasamy here.
Rangasamy alleged that V Narayanasamy had put obstacles to all steps taken by him to persuade the Centre to grant statehood for Puducherry.
