Chairperson of NAAC Committee Prof. B Hanumaiah submitted the report to Group Captain J K Sahu, Chief Instructor, MET Faculty of AFAC, an official release said here today.
The college, one of the oldest institutions to train officers in the Indian Air Force, was started in 1943 at Pune and shifted to Coimbatore in 1946. Since then it has been the alma mater of officers of the IAF.
In addition to conducting a large number of professional service courses, the institution is also affiliated to Bharathiar University for award of various degrees, including Post-Graduate diploma, Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy - Meteorology and is the only one in India to conduct formalised training on Aviation Meteorology.
