 "Ajanta Pharma Q1 net up 39% at Rs 119.55 crore")
Drug firm Ajanta Pharma has reported a 38.99% rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 119.55 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 mainly on robust sales.
The company had posted a profit of Rs 86.01 crore during the corresponding period of the previous financial year, Ajanta Pharma said in a filing to BSE.
The firm's total income from operations also rose to Rs 471.02 crore during the quarter compared to Rs 391.35 crore in the year-ago period.
Shares of Ajanta Pharma were trading 3.40% up at Rs 1,707.75 ascrip on BSE.
