Ajay Kashyap appointed as DG Tihar jail

Ajay Kashyap, a 1985 batch IPS officer, was today appointed as the new Director General (DG) of Tihar jail, according to an order issued by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal.
He was currently posted as the Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) in the Delhi Police.
Sudhir Yadav, an IPS officer of the same batch as Kashyap, retired as the DG (Tihar) today. He had taken over the post in May last year.
A farewell parade and a function was held at the jail complex for Yadav.
