Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha chief Swami Chakrapani today extended his support to BSP supremo Mayawati for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, saying the state remains crime-free during her tenure.
"Everyone knows that criminals and anti-social elements run for cover when Mayawati becomes Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Women fell much safer under her leadership," the president of the right wing organisation told reporters here.
Criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he claimed lakhs of people have lost their jobs and several others died due to the demonetisation move.
"Mayawati is a saint. She works for the development of all while Modi, who is more an actor than a leader, works to destroy things.
"She has dedicated herself in the service of people. She works for all sections of the society," Chakrapani added.
