Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said that anti-social forces could "conspire" to vitiate atmosphere of the state before next year's assembly polls to "defame" his government and asked the people to remain alert.
"You all should remain alert. Anti-social forces can conspire to vitiate atmosphere of the state before assembly polls to defame my government. You all should thwart their attempts," he said, while addressing a rally here.
Claiming that his government always worked to "unite" the society, Yadav said that development has been given priority and new projects were initiated to benefit people.
"Due to our works, anti-social forces are worried and conspiring to defame the government", he said.
Attacking the BSP, Yadav said that the people of the state had witnessed a government between 2007-2012 which was busy only in installing elephants of stones and making "stone parks".
On the BJP, Yadav said that at Centre a government has come on promise of 'acche din' but even after two years no one in the country have felt it.
Yadav said that the SP would succeeded in forming the government against in UP after 2017 elections.
Meanwhile, BJP state president Keshwav Prasad Maurya said that for seeing "acche din", Yadav should shed "cateist and communal" angle.
"Due to bias against the party, opposition could not see acche din and works done by the Centre. However, the same is visible even to those in other countries," he said.
"It will be better, if CM should concentrate on state and stop corruption and improve law and order" he added.
