The 'Smack That' hitmaker will release Stadium later this year (15) and is currently streaming one song from each album for his fans.
Each record will be a different genre of music and has not announced an exact arrival date for the record, his fourth studio album.
In a message on Twitter, Akon, 41, writes, "Through out (sic) this long wait, there has (sic) been fans who stuck with me. This Album is for you! 5 Albums 5 genres equalling Stadium."
Despite the hiatus from his solo work, he had an active year of cameos in 2014, appearing on tracks by Jeezy, Chris Brown and Wizkid.
