It had posted a net profit of Rs 70.87 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Total income from operation for the quarter under review increased by 1.86 per cent to Rs 813.01 crore from Rs 798.12 crore in the October-December period of the previous fiscal, AkzoNobel said in a BSE filing.
"Despite a tough business and economic environment due to demonetisation...AkzoNobel India registered a revenue growth of 2 per cent in the third quarter. Profit from operations for the quarter at Rs 91 crore grew by 27 per cent over the previous year," AkzoNobel India Managing Director Jayakumar Krishnaswamy said.
