Alembic Q4 net up 2 pc at Rs 93 cr

Alembic Pharmaceuticals today posted 2.43 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 93.04 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 90.83 crore for the same period of the previous fiscal.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 740.26 crore for the fourth quarter as compared to Rs 625.56 crore for the same period of previous fiscal, Alembic Pharmaceuticals said in a regulatory filing.
For the year ended March 31, the company posted a net profit of Rs 403.16 crore as compared to Rs 720.04 crore in the previous fiscal.
The company's board, which met today, also recommended a dividend of Rs 4 (around 200 per cent) per equity share of face value of Rs 2 each for the year ended March 31.
Shares of the company today ended 2.13 per cent down at Rs 605.75 apiece on BSE.
