Alexis Denisof joins 'Legacies' season two
"Angel" alum Alexis Denisof has boarded the cast of season two of CW supernatural drama "Legacies".
The series, created by Julie Plec, is a spin-off of "The Originals". It revolves around the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted that provides a haven to supernatural beings who can learn to control their abilities and impulses.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the 53-year-old actor will portray Professor Vardemus, an "urbane British sorcerer", in the show.
The character is described as a "bit of a dandy (who) wins over the Salvatore students with his steadfast belief in the superiority of their supernatural world".
The second season of the show will air in October.
