As the House sat for the day, leaders of all the parties lamented the tense exchanges between JD(U) and BJP members in the post lunch session yesterday and Speaker Udai Narayan Choudhary called a meeting of leaders of all the parties.
Besides JD(U), RJD and Congress also criticised the behaviour of BJP members in disrupting the House and using "unparliamentary" words against ministers and leaders.
Leader of Opposition, however, accused the treasury bench for triggering the unpleasant situation.
"If you think you can gag the voice of the opposition on the basis of your numerical strength you will not succeed," opposition leader Nand Kishore Yadav said taking objection to minister Bijendra Yadav threat that he would not be allowed to speak in the House.
Parliamentary Affairs minister Shrawan Kumar accused the BJP of trooping into well with placards very often to disrupt the House and using "uncharitable" words like "chor" (thief) for Food minister Shyam Rajak.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi imparted training to BJP MPs at Surajkund as how to conduct oneself in Parliament...Is this the lesson you have learnt?" he asked BJP members.
RJD Legislature party leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui blamed the BJP for breaking healthy tradition of the House and demanded the Chair to expunge "uncharitable" words used yesterday.
Congress Legislature party leader Sadanand Singh also expressed concern over the situation and demanded an all party meeting for smooth functioning of Assembly in future.
