Chief Justice Govind Mathur on Thursday administered oath of office to nine additional judges at the Allahabad High Court.
All nine, who were appointed as additional judged of the high court, were practising advocates.
With the appointment of new judges, the number of judges of the Allahabad High Court has gone up to 109out of 160 sanctioned posts.
The additional judges who took oath of office include JusticeVipin Chandra Dixit, Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav, Justice Ravi Nath Tilhari, JusticeDeepak Verma, Justice Gautam Chowdhary, Justice Shamim Ahmed,Justice Dinesh Pathak, JusticeManish Kumar and Justice Samit Gopal.
