Almond improves on scattered demand

Almond prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg in an otherwise steady wholesale dry fruits market today on scattered demand from retailers.
However, other dry fruits continued to trade in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said some demand from retailers mainly attributed the rise in almond prices.
In the national capital, almond (California) rose by Rs 100 to Rs 19,500 per 40 kg. Its kernel also edged up by Rs 5 to Rs 695-715 per kg.
