Alstom delivers first metropolis train set to Kochi Metro

French engineering major Alstom today said that Kochi Metro Rail (KMRL) has received the first metropolis train set of the 25 trains order ahead of schedule.
"The order was placed in August 2014 and Alstom delivered the first train set in record time," Alstom said in a statement.

DriveU acquires CallAtHome
*DriveU, an on-demand driver service, today said it has acquired Gurgaon-based rival, CallAtHome for an undisclosed amount.

CallAtHome allows people to hire verified drivers in Delhi-NCR. It has about 150 drivers on its platform and has completed about 7,000 trips since inception in July last year.
"Gurgaon has an abundance of Fortune 500 companies and shopping malls. It has the third highest per capita income in the country. All this makes Gurgaon, the next logical destination for DriveU," DriveU co-founder and CEO Rahm Shastry said.
With this acquisition, Bengaluru-based DriveU will have over 500 partner- drivers across India, he added.

Prescribez raises seed funding
*Prescribez has raised seed funding of USD 145,000 from Ankush Mehta, an angel investor.
Prescribez makes collaboration between consumers and service providers like doctors, labs and pharmacies, allowing users to search and avail health services through the app.
The app is slated for launch this month in Pune.
"We are looking to aggregate labs and start doctor consultation through Prescribez itself. The funds will be used for product development and marketing, Prescribez co-founder and CEO Neeraj Joshi said.
The company is also planning to start operations in Mumbai in the next six months, he added.

Lybrate, an online doctor consultation platform, today said it will offer consultation service on Facebook Messenger to allow people to seek opinion on health queries.
Lybrate is first healthcare company in India to launch such a service on Messenger's bot platform, it said in a statement.
DSCI appoints Rama Vedashree as CEO
* Data Security Council of India (DSCI) has appointed Rama Vedashree as its Chief Executive Officer.
She succeeds Nandkumar Saravade for this role.
Rama Vedashree was Vice President, Nasscom leading all initiatives in domestic IT, eGovernance and Smart Cities among others. She has worked across firms like NIIT Technologies, Microsoft and General Electric (GE) India.

ESPN introduces new mobile-first-multi-sport * ESPN today said it has introduced a new 'mobile-first multi-sport' digital offeringin India with the launch of the ESPN.In website and the ESPNapp.
India is the first market outside the United States to see the launch of a localized edition of ESPN's signature app,ESPN said in a statement.
It added, ESPN.In site and app will also be carrying rights video content for sporting events from SONY LIV, SPN's digital streaming platform, and SPN's new SONY ESPN sports channels.
