Operations related to IT systems such as data centre, business applications and networks will be carried out at the centre, the company said in a statement.
The new centre, hosting over 150 employees, will play a vital role as the global centre for IT operations and project delivery for Alstom, it said, adding that the centre would be supported by Alstom's global partners to deliver global IT operations and many key IT programmes.
It comprises four businesses: Rolling stock & Components, Systems & Infrastructure, Transport Information Solutions and Train Life Services.
With a full range of highly advanced products and solutions, it is ready to participate in the upcoming rail transportation projects in India, including high speed train projects, the company said.
Alstom is a leading supplier of train control systems for metros in India. India's fastest trains -- Shatabdi and Rajdhani -- use Alstom-designed LHB coaches.
